Would you dance with me?
If the rain was pouring with such conviction,
That your mouth would spew truth if your skin felt its wet embrace?
Would you tango with me?
If the sky was falling around us so damn hard,
That there was no chance of survival if we left our houses?
Would you do the waltz with me?
If November would never come,
And October was to be the end of it all?
Would you do the fox trot with me?
If there was nothing but fire around us,
And our clothes had already caught a blaze?
Would you dance with me?
If there wasn’t a devastating event, set into action to damn us both?

This is incredible.
There’s so much emotion and feeling and detail, yet its so simple.

Would we commiserate with certain people if we knew there was a danger to our emotions by becoming involved with them. And yet, in the end, I think we do. It is very true and brilliant with emotion. I still see hope in this work, it doesn’t have to end badly. Maybe our assumptions are what really kill us in the end. Brilliant and clever poem Matt. I enjoyed it. You are such an honest writer.

I believe we do Matty, I find myself coming out of a spiraling self destruction tendancy towards the people I find attraction to..That was a heck of a statment, I hope it makes sense haha. I appreciate you very much.
