Brilliant/can tell you have been taking photos all your life/something very special in your photography
beautiful shot, it is very hard to reproduce the true color of snow but you captured it perfectly here.
Wonderful texture in the snow and grass – it leads the eye beautfiully! I can’t really image living a whole winter with so much of the white stuff, but it looks so peaceful! Lovely!
By the way …. love the title!! hehe!!
Hi Lady, Di! ( I’m gonna have to talk fast to recover from that one that you’ve never heard before!) Yes, indeed! Thank you so much for your comment. I can’t imagine living through the long winters here, either. I was actually visiting my nieces a week in December, 2007, up until the New Year in Hailey, Idaho, for my first honest to goodness White Christmas . I got up early and ventured out to see what treasures I might horde inside my trusty camera to carry with me back to sunny SoCal. As I wound my way over hill and dale, imagine my delight to espy this grand old barn just ripe for the shooting. And just as flurries of snow began to sprinkle the air with just the right frosted highlights for the shot. Ah, memories. Thank you for helping me relive a very happy moment in my life.
Beautiful shot…. Where is this?
Hi again…Read the Entry above. It explains the shot and where it is..Hailey, Idaho..near Ketchum and Sun Valley. I was very fortunate to be there when it was snowing a lot and had a blast.

Sorry I didn’t notice the explanation above… I lived up in our local mountains “Running Springs” a few years back for 3 yrs. I loved it so much, and we had some great winters up ther the 3 yrs I lived there. One year we had snow on the ground almost the whole time from Oct to March, it was great.
lol!…great title. Eat your heart out Zha Zha (or however she spells it!)
Actually, since you are so much younger than I ( I was born in 1958! Yikes! ), you wouldn’t remember as well, because you were in diapers and all, but it was Eva ( The nicer, prettier Gabor) and she would never have put up with Oliver here. Nope, New York is where she’d rather stay!
Again… a tremendous winter scene! Beautiful work.. .lovely old barn… excellent use of foreground grass!!
Exciting winter scene! Impressive shot!
