I literally climbed hill and dale to get this shot..I was cold..I was hungry.. but I was determined, and when I got home and picked the stickery things out of my socks and shirt ( Because I had to lie down in the weeds a few times to get the right angle) I knew I had definitely put a lot of myself into that very simple shot. This is a most profound display of artistry, indeed. Thank you for your sweet praises and insight. I appreciate it more than you may ever know.

I am being told that, at least with this photo, I am a “minimalist”, and also taking a simple approach, but with appealing success, I suppose… But, after hearing a few nice comments, I’m thinking that it is not such a bad thing.

Also, I think that your work is phenomenal, and I can’t tell you how much your opinion means to me.. I recognize you as a very gifted artist and highly respect your input, and advice, should you have any, at any time in the future. I have posted many photos on my RB site, and I know time is limited for everyone, but I would be most grateful if you could take a look at a few on occasion, and let me know what I might do in the future to develop my skills and results. I don’t dare ask you what your choice of camera is..That would be too bold, but I wish to look into buying a new SLR digital, and I keep asking anyone who wishes to share.

Wow! I am really happy that you feel that way, Miss Kathie..

I had taken about 100 photos that evening, with the intention of getting some nice sunset photos, but in this case, the sun was already past the horizon. I took this one right before realizing that very soon it was going to be very pretty dark, and I had some climbing over mountains to do, in order to get back home. Of all the shots I took…this turned out to be the one I loved best. I’m So glad that I stayed until the very end.

Thank you David..I really appreciate you taking the time to say that. I am really enjoying my hobby. Wish I was independently wealthy, and could spend half my day on RB to watch and learn, and the other half to practice my craft. Oh well..C’est La Vie, eh?
