Lost in space I think
Woke up on this wretched little planet. Awful place. Well not really.
It is beginning to look quite nice. Defies logic though. Makes a mockery of astrophysics and astronomy. Weird things all over the place. Not obvious. Strange. Must be a movie set!!
But how did I get here? Went to sleep in a pod and voila! If anybody recognises this place bmail so I can get back to where I came I hope. Otherwise? How far is the nearest pizza place? Maybe I could stay here a bit longer.
Apologies I’ve had that sort of day.
Created in Artmatic Voyager and Photoshop CS2.
Yes I’ve used that NASA moon again. It is a ripper isn’t it.

I dunno where you are, but what a place to be lost…I’m sure there’s a Macas just over the hill, so you should be ok :)
retepk replied
Many thanks Tom. I haven’t spotted that Macca’s yet. But I might stick around here for a while yet.

There was that little space walk a while ago, then a brain application, now this. My problem is I keep thinking in series, not great for wall art…
retepk replied
Thanks Syd. A series? Not consciously. It just worked out that way that there is an underlying theme in them.

A great creation Retepk, as all your works are. There’s just gotta be a pizza palace down there somewhere. Do you mind if I mention one thing I find confusing? No? Good. Just the opposite lighting for landscape and heavenly bodies, otherwise perfection my friend.
retepk replied
Many thanks Brian. Very much appreciate your comment. I’m never quite sure whether or not I properly match the lighting but with this one I imagined a world with many suns and left the lighting coming from different directions.

I love the atmoshere here as the mist comes and goes as the landscape recedes farther and farther away. Sort of joins it to the heavens above. Works really well. Cheers!
retepk replied
Many thanks Dave. Much appreciated.

Phil Threlfall
Nice work mate… have you seen the new movie District 9 ?
retepk replied
Thank you very much Phil. It is a movie I hope catch up with soon. Saw a promo for it and it looks good. I don’t get to the theatres much these days so I’ll more than likely see it on DVD.

Peter, Hike over to that butte in the distance, climb to the top, hold onto a towel in your left hand and stick out your right thumb (hitchhike). You’ll be home in no time!! OUTSTANDING work!! :)
retepk replied
Thank you very much Keith. Much appreciated.
Hitchhiking I haven’t done that since the 80s. I could also make up a little sign saying “Earth or bust” and “Will pay for gas”?

Darn, Artmatic Voyager is for Mac only. Oh well lol. I love the title – ”....I think”. I think you’re lost in space too ;-) This is fab, Peter. Fantastic image! Lots of work but well worth it!

Thank you very much Rightasrain. Much appreciated.
I shall have to come back to Earth eventually. Perhaps. If I can find the way.:-)
I am surprised there isn’t an Artmatic Voyager version for PCs. In the future perhaps.
