Bells for Her

Bells for Her – a silly poem by RestLeSs D

If you got to know me
You’d know I was sincere.
You’d see my gracious nature,
You’d know I bring you cheer.

I capture the affections
Of every living thing.
These friends that I encounter
Make my happy heart sing.

Just ask them, they will tell you
You have no need to mope.
I am a good and friendly lass.
I bring only smiles & hope.

There is a moral here somewhere,
Don’t judge the book by its cover?
Can odd appearances mislead you
To add prejudice to another?

Beauty is in the eye & heart
Not only of the beholder.
If we love ourselves as we are
Our growth will not be hindered.

Bells for her, bells for me.
Can you hear them singing
Bells for you, bells for me.
For us they will be ringing. . .
