Moonchild
The amazing image above was created in collaboration (our first) with my poem by my wonderfully talented friend, 
I met Anna through a Photoshop forum and seeing her work inspired me. We have become friends with mutual interests and similar tastes in various types of artistic creativity. We hope to collaborate more in the future. I am honoured that she thinks my work worthy of her talent.

I wrote this a long time ago and I know this sounds like the parts of the of an old King Crimson song. But I actually wrote this before that song was made in the late 60’s. I wrote it in 1967 when I was 13.
What can I say, great minds think alike?

Lonely moonchild, dancing on the colors of the evening.
Quiet dew drops, landing lightly upon the darkened flower.
Softly sighing as they flow toward the ocean,
Only to be caught up within a moon ray shower.
Singing night bird sending out a longing message,
Calling for the return of its’ one and only lover.
Listening, he hears the well known song
As he awaits her return to their safe cover.
Over on the horizon a new day awaits
As the moon still rules the sky.
The Moonchild yawns as morning dawns
The leftover dew drops begin to sigh.
Behind a mountain the sky is alive,
The air is crisp and wild.
Say farewell to the darkness,
And welcome to you, Sun child.
