These boys were walking along the beach & came upon the tide canal aka Salt Creek. They had gathered some wood pieces for the campfire they were going to have later. They seem to have decided to play in the water instead. The boys were about 7 & 8 years old.
My own photograph shot from the beach at Church’s / Trestles, Camp Pendleton, California, USA. Raw image post-processed in PS Camera Raw & then blended using layers in PSCS6 including a DAP layer.
Shot with a Kodak EZS ZM995

beautiful capture and work. Well done. We go down there to walk sometimes. :o)
Do you ? Our paths may have crossed. :o)
I can’t remember but I think it’s called Salt Creek(?). We usually camp right in front of the trestles there, in Area 51. We have been told that it will not longer be available for camping as they are planning on redoing the trestles & turning that area into an amphibious tank road into the ocean… again (??)
Thank you for you lovely comments Bunny..

Wow I like the processing you did with this photo… loks like a painting or a poster from yesteryear. Vey nice work Rhonda. P.S. I drive by Camp Pendleton quite often with my job, might have to try and find this place and see what my camera can come up with… ooh, dueling pics :)))))
Rog
Well thank you Roger, that was the feeling I was going for. The boys reminded me of when I was a kid playing on the beach. . . they were so carefree & were having fun exploring, it made me feel nostalgic.
We camp there because that’s where my brother & friends like to surf & he’s got a friend who can get access to the base. There’s an interesting tide that happens there where it seems to get some really good waves. It’s nice too because it doesn’t get as crowded as some of the public beaches.
Dueling pics would be fun… I love seeing everyone’s work & what they come up with… If I was a better photographer I would need to do so much work in Photoshop… I am so thankful for it… :o)
Have a great weekend…
