Little Bird a poem by RestLeSsD
Oh, you, little bird,
I wonder if you’ve even heard,
Your fledgelings have all flown away
It’s time for them to make their way.
To build a home all their own,
To find a mate and perpetuate
Life’s cycled seasons
These are their reasons. . .
She listens just to hear their calls,
Ever searching as evening falls.
Sunrise will bring another day
And memories too will go away. . .
This was her test,
This empty nest
Her work is done
Little bird has done her best. . .
