Little Bird a poem by RestLeSsD

Oh, you, little bird,
I wonder if you’ve even heard,
Your fledgelings have all flown away
It’s time for them to make their way.

To build a home all their own,
To find a mate and perpetuate
Life’s cycled seasons
These are their reasons. . .

She listens just to hear their calls,
Ever searching as evening falls.
Sunrise will bring another day
And memories too will go away. . .

This was her test,
This empty nest
Her work is done
Little bird has done her best. . .

Little Bird ~ The Eeels

From an original photograph taken in my back yard. A little Phoebe sits watching for insects. She is a daily visitor & I love watching her flit around catching her dinner…

Photo shot with a Kodak EZS Z915. Post-treated in PSCS2: Extreme levels.

What a lovely capture of this lovely little bird, Rhonda. I had my first encounter with a Phoebe early this summer. A joy to watch!

  • They truly are… so delicate… and they are amazing insect catchers. I saw a moth leisurely fly l by and before I knew it the little bird came from across the yard from the side & snatched him up. Mr. moth had not idea what happened it was so quick.
    Thank you Mike…
