Before you came into my life
I thought I’d set my ways.
I did not need a little one
To clutter up my days.

I did not have the the time for
Anything that might take away
From all I thought I wanted;
I was living for today.

Little did I realize
Just how much that I could feel
For someone who is a part of me.
These feelings I tried to conceal.

When you entered into the world
You turned mine upside down.
I cannot recall what life was like
Before you were around.

Since you came into my life
You’ve kept me so entranced.
I can’t imagine life without you,
You’re my one and only Chance.

The Greatest Discovery – Elton John

This was the original image I had in mind when I posted the poem but I couldn’t find it. It was written after the birth of my son whose name is Chance.
I came across it, scanned & edited it and here it is.

I captured this secretly as my son was looking out the back door. The original photo was taken back in 1987 using a Pentax SLR that I had at the time. This was a first time that I shot using existing light. Today I post processed the image in PSCS2 removing dust and turned it into a B&W.
