I wish to channel my views
To another train of thought.
I would be pleased to find
A new venture to be sought.

If only some new place was seen
To plant another seed.
Upon my yearning heart
I wish to fill this need.

I ask no questions
Of any important search,
I seek no quest
With which to find rebirth.
I am not in pain,
I am not feeling strife.
Yet I am not satisfied by
My merely existing life.

With no goals before me
I see no promised land.
Will my days slip away
Like useless grains of sand?

With no open books or
Expectations of grand tomorrows.
Will I continue to be lacking,
Being filled with just sorrows?

I saw it in a dream,
I will live one day at a time.
I awake with a goal
Just find small hills to climb.

Take each step onward, up
No reason to stay on track. . .
Each day is a leap of faith
With no need to look back.
