The Secret Keepers a poem by RestLeSsD
Once upon a time, only yesterday
There was a secret only told
To those who could really keep it
Until they did grow old.
But, the little girl who heard this
Being whispered only to the old
Knew that stories shared in secret
Where the ones that must be told.
There were nursery rhymes and silly songs,
About balloons and castles and a queen,
With stories about horses, wolves and dragonflies
That might never, not ever be seen.
So she closed her eyes and dreamt of a place
Where these secrets would be set free.
Where ghosts and princes and clouds were alive
For all the world to see.
The Secret Keepers heard of this place
And worried there might be trouble.
So they sent their Mantis, a secret agent
Who traveled to this land on the double.
When he arrived he was quite surprised
To see all the fun gathered there.
He did not think to stop the girl.
Instead he did declare:
The Secretkeepers have made a mistake
These stories should be freed.
For all to share and to enjoy
Everyone shall be allowed to read.
So from that day forward
Until these modern times.
This place has always been known as
The Land of Stories & Nursery Rhymes. . .
