Original image shot in the early 80’s at midnight at San Diego Harbor. We were waiting to leave for a group deep sea fishing trip. There was a full moon behind the clouds creating a highlighted area – almost night to day.
Shot a long exposure with existing light on a tripod. Scanned & post processed as a digital painting with layer overlays composited in Photoshop using various filters, a DAP blended layer and the Orton Effect.

Thank you David — yes, I fish. At least I used to. I live at a lake and we used to fish all the time.
This was with a friend who had hired a boat for group and invited me & my family. I did catch 1 big Yellow-Tail but never again… It drug me around the boat 2x but I brought it in – not fun at all… so, I spent the rest of the day taking pictures, eating & drinking… :o) good memories…
