Revised version of Mother & Son, just because I`ve got some time on my hands this morning, and I`ve always wanted to go back to this one.

I like this colourway, and I`ve been learning the delicate art of halftoning. I`ve been enjoying the mix of halftone and sharp lines recently.

Hope you all enjoy too.

Um … that’s me drooling over your halftones and your muted palette and stuff.

  • And who taught me how to do this?? See what you`ve done!

Thanks Mate, I`m enjoying playing with them. I`ve got a fair bit left to learn though.

great work scott – the contrast between the halftone and lines works very well as a play of foreground and background.

  • That`s what I was hoping for, so I`m glad it seems to have worked. Cheers mate

Background and foreground work together really well.
Looks like it should be a still from an animation – a rather dark one ;)

  • Ohh how I`d love to be able to animate… I`m working towards that though.. Someday, Someday..

Sweet Zombie Jeezus, sir, this is fantastic!

As others have already mentioned, the halftones really work well in combination with the foreground figures, and I LOVE the white linework, really helps add depth to the foreground elements.

    Great stuff.

  • Glad you like it Simon. I`ve been really facinated with the halftone/line combination for a while now. Just trying to get it into action now.
