It`s an art worth the learning T-Shirt

It`s an art worth the learning

Just a simple bit of fun really, and an entry in the ARSE challenge

If you don`t understand, you never will.

A total of 2 minutes has been spent on this, so enjoy

*Note: I changed this design, basically because I could. Now with added leading.

Great work Scott… there’s another great tee or poster somewhere called “keming” because the r and n in “kerning” are pushed to close together. I’ve totally lost this art since design school, because it really isn’t available to us on the web. Use it or lose it I guess. Maybe I need to do more print work?

Was just thinking of the keming design Justin. Love the shirt Scott but my pedantic side would struggle to wear it…

I prefer letter- word- and line-spacing myself.
Leading looks more like it’s other more common meaning i.e. ‘I am leading the race’.

a great t for a typographer!! It makes me laugh but at the same time, each time I look at it I just want to fix it ;D Imagine trying to fix that in the days of lead… you’d have to start over from scratch. (unless it was handset of course!)

Preach it! Now, about the leading…

  • Scott Robinson replied

haha, read the fine print at the bottom…

  • Mike Emmett

    Mike Emmett

Yeah, got the fine-print! My favourite is “Make it bigger, and can you bold it?” To which i increase the leading a point, and they always say “Yeah, thats it!”

  • Scott Robinson replied

Hahaha, thanks Sam, and everyone who`s commented on this..

The funny thing is in design school, many, many moons ago, I hated typography.. But It grew on me over time.

    Glad people can relate
