Late night wisdom, and wise for all that.
I will say I seem to operate in a virtual vacuum. This does get to me and may also largely be my fault. But . . . I see awful work with a hundred responses and I get none. I’m no proper genius at all, but I’m not a hack either.
Sigh. Perhaps I’ll have to go the way of that other failed illustrator and house painter.
