Challenge Winner – Birds in Flight, #12 Great Features Group
There aren’t many things that bring me more joy than the companionship of the Black-Capped Chickadees that inhabit the woods behind our home. They visit us daily, and follow me along the trail whenever I go for a walk. I could be 3 property lines over and they will still follow me! It is not unusual for them to land on the end of my camera lens as I’m trying to frame a photo, or flutter around my legs, looking for their sunflower seeds.
These little songbirds bring me more joy than I can ever truly express. What a gift they are! I would be filled with great sadness if they ever disappeared. They are a huge part of my passion for nature & wildlife photography and for capturing the beauty that surrounds us everywhere.
This image was created by merging 2 of my chickadee in flight photos and then blending the sky together. Original images taken on my property in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada.
