Desert Bloom - Abstract Art

Digital Abstract painting created using several photographic layers, Photoshop, Corel Painter X and a Wacom tablet.

I lost track of how many of my images I merged in this one. I believe it was at least 5.

I think you have “obviously to me” used a wacom tablet here, the signs are obvious :)
So you”re going through a moody, abstract phase are you.
    It”s a pity you can”t go through a “cloud phase” isn”t it! {without resorting to a 3yr old photo like you sent the last time!}
I find this work, passable but,a bit more, Umph {thats the technical term} could have been used.
It reminds me of,Ligotti, the writer.
I suppose I better favourite it.
    :)

  • Renee Dawson replied

Can’t get anything by you now can I Mr. Onions! Thought you’d flown off to the moon of late. Yes I’ve been moody of late – is it that obvious? There are CLOUDS in this image – there wrapped in and about the rusted metal – can’t you see them? (blink blink) So if it’s just passable how come you faved it silly? What would Mr. Onions do to give it more umph?

I would have used more wacom tablets,Renee.
    One is never enough.
And a bridge too,I would have had a bridge in it.
    :)

  • Renee Dawson replied

Good heavens – where the heck would one incorporate a bridge into this image without cluttering it up?...lol Have you been walking through castle walls again? :)

Your above comment shows a distinct lack of imagination, young lady.
The remnants of a rustic bridge in the background would add a touch of melancholy to your already moody persona.

  • Renee Dawson replied

bwahahahahahaha I don’t have pretty old stone bridges here like you do!

oh…............i completely missed this one! I like abstracts that arent’ so abstract that i can’t figure out top nor bottom of them, this works for me Dear

  • Renee Dawson replied

Thanks Mom. Layered images in PhotoShop & painting in Painter X – just like I was showing you last night :) (blink blink) Now go play – you just NEVER know what you’re going to end up with! :) xo

A VERY unusual image for our Renee!!!!! Wandering off down a new and exciting path!!!! WAY COOL!!!!!

  • Renee Dawson replied

Thank you Lois :) It must be all the vitamins I’m taking :) I am sooooooo in love with abstract type things right now. Was purposely playing & blurring images yesterday on my fall shoot with Mom. I think she believes I’ve officially lost it!...lol
