Thank you Sandy. No, no injury. Mourning doves have a small area of pink-rose colored feathers on their neck :)

If it’s any consolation you can’t always see that pink patch. Depends on the light and the angle of the head & neck :) Have a wonderful weekend Sandy!

I’m going to have to look more carefully at the mourning doves at our vet’s office! They have two of them and I love their bird call. But they seemed to be more beige in color without the blue wings. Next time I’ll be at their cage peering in very inquisitively! I’ll let you know what I see!

Being an ‘artsie’ piece sweetie…I added the blue tone to the original so it would tie into the background. No, they don’t have blue wings…lol They do, however, have gold &/or or pink colored feather patches on their necks :) Yes, their bodies are a beige color…giggles
