Chickadee Macro
Featured in Eye Contact July 6, 2009
Yes, believe it or not, this photo was taken with my Canon Rebel EOS XTi and my 100mm f/2.8 MACRO lens!
I was out trying to capture macros of insects and this little darling was following me everywhere in the woods behind our property :) Have I mentioned how much I LOVE the chickadees…lol
Photo taken in Prince Edward County, Ontario, Canada

Ha – this is a hoot. How you get these shots is beyond me Renee, but I love that you get them as I can appreciate how hard and time consuming it must be to photograph birds. Well done my dear! Cheers, s.
Renee Dawson replied
Thanks so much Sandra. I am sorting through oodles of image folders from the past few months and came across this one. I remember this one in particular and how much it made me laugh. Her next stop was the end of my lens! I truly am blessed that they trust me so much :)

Wow, absolutely amazing…your bird shots are never a let down, Hi Renee….Bet that surprised you when she landed on your lens, did she take a picture of you?
Renee Dawson replied
Hiya Di and thank you sweetie. Actually, it didn’t surprise me when she landed on my lens as it has happened before. The FIRST time it happened, yes – it certainly caught me off guard…lol Now wouldn’t that be something if they followed ME around with a camera ;)
