OMG…this is a cracker…our Juncos are very flighty…Beautiful slate-colored one, glad to see you have a winning photo with this guy! Colors are truely wonderful and the light just right in his eyes!
Renee Dawson replied
Thanks so much Bevie! As I am sure you are very WELL aware it is hard to get a good photo of these guys. They are so dark and unless you have a lot of light it’s hard to get all the feather detail. You made my night hun. So glad you like it. Can’t believe it turned out this well through a window!...lol
Beve Brown-Clark
Renee, If you had never mention the window…I would have never guessed! It truely is an awesome photograph and does this mean…more chickadees soooooon???
Renee Dawson replied
I have thousands of chickadee shots…lol Thought you might be tiring of them? :)

Perfect shot Renee. I’ve been trying to capture the birds around my yard all summer, but not near to the success you have. I am obviously not as patient as you. LOL. Cheers, S.
Renee Dawson replied
Thanks so much Sandra. After 5 years out in the country some of the birds are getting used to me. Some will come to the deck while I am out there…some will not – but will allow me to watch them through the window without fluttering away :)
David Clark
wow through the window – that is amazing and one sure way to keep them from flying away—do these guys stick around for the winter at your place? really great detail – dave
Renee Dawson replied
Hi Dave & thank you. Yes, we actually only see the juncos through the colder months at our place :)
