To Nap, or Not to Nap...

To nap, or not to nap; what a ridiculous question: whether ‘tis better for my eyes
To suffer attempting to hold themselves
Open to the light of day or to let them
Slam shut and let darkness take over, and by
Doing so, snore loudly? – Not to die – just
Sleep – a few hours more; and by a sleep
Or nap I’d end that fatigued feeling and be
Able to better prevent sleep walls that
I’m currently susceptible to, – a
Nap is definately desir’d. It wouldn’t
Kill me – to get more sleep – to sleep: perchance
To dream: – aye, that’s what I need; for in that
Sleep of my nap what dreams may come and when
I awaken and shuffle out of dreamland
I’ll pause and smile: there’s that certain refreshed
Feeling that can only be gained by a
Nap of perfect length; for who would be
Contented by a short nap? – ‘t would be
Depressing, and I’d wake up crabby, and
I’d still suffer from lack of sleep and delayed
Reactions, and walk around in a state
Of only partial consciousness so that
Impatience will only take over with my friends
For even if I’m not as tired as I seem
To be, I will have no idea what
They said to me and will grunt a reply
That doesn’t make sense because I’ll be staring
Into space instead of paying attention to
What they say. So perhaps because I wish
It so – I shall bring forth a pillow and
Blanket and let some wonderful sleep make
My disposition so much brighter.

To Nap, or Not to Nap...
