Long Lost

My tired eyes can’t take any more
They want to go to bed
I can’t focus on the road any longer
I need to rest my head
And when I lay I dream of you
And our friendship long ago
But those times have come and gone and we changed
As we tried to grow
My dreams just linger a moment longer
Before they try to move on
And by the time I’m on the road again
All thoughts of you are gone…

Long Lost

On the road of life, don’t forget to pause for the memories.

Sad – memories persist but closure is closure, yes?
