I am a 53 year old ageing Hippy with a love of nature . A romantic at heart but sadly single. I used to be a decorator but since my father became ill I have given up my business to care for him full time . When I have time to myself I like nothing more than to get out into the woods or the countryside and capture the sights around me. I hope you enjoy seeing what I see. Thanks for viewing. Kind regards Mark.

i think your mouse may be a baby rat!!! nice capture

  • Oh no! that’s not so good. We had a problem with rats a few years ago as a lady down the road used to keep chickens and her garden was full of them. I will have to look into this. Thanks for the tip! kind regards mark.

its still cute daughter had a rat and he was the sweetest tlittle creature and slept in my elbow when it was bent lol

  • Your right it is cute but a few years ago they were a big problem and it caused a lot of bad feeling in our area. People have an irrational fear of rats but most don’t realize that they are living with them every day. As far as I’m concerned live and let live . Thanks Lucinda.

Mark, this one was living in my garden last summer and brought home his wife and kids!!!

  • Nice one Jon, I think your right its a rat. I haven’t seen any so far this year but I’m sure they are about. If my one was a baby then where’s mum and dad.

I still have one or two but they reside in the old compost bin and don’t really bother me, but as you can see from pic these ones were bold as brass, strolling around during the day with me only a couple of metres away! – just make sure to wash your hands after filling the feeders! Jon

  • That is one thing I have always been very careful about. I hear Viles disease is very nasty. Thanks Jon. mark.

  • I agree but try telling the worry worts around here, some people still don’t understand that living in the countryside means living with nature. Thanks Jules!, mark.
