Love love love your composition and use of space! Not too mention that bright moon and the wonderful colors you captured in that dark sky! Excellent work Mary Ann!

  • pretty much straight from the camera (except for cropping). Incredible night sky:)

Very clever to have the moon just creeping into the frame, much more effective that way :)

Enough information? Not enough? Too much? How much information creates an idea? A feeling? Well, I’d say just this much Mary Ann.

I love the framing here, or maybe your crop? I think artists should be less afraid of letting things exist or kind of slide off the edge of their canvas. A lot of art is provoking thought. This is one way to do it. And this one does. Also, in this instance, your composition creates some interesting movement.

  • Thanks, Keith. It felt right to situate the moon partially—much like Asia is fractured on western maps. Appreciate you taking time to comment.
