Washington Square (University Place), Manhattan (USA)
March 7, 2009

After a foot of snow fell in the city last Monday, Saturday was warm and spring-like (snow was gone and perhaps love was in the air?). This couple making their way (the wrong way) on a one way street just epitomized the coming of spring. Found myself humming Raindrops Keep Falling on My Head and thinking of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Like so many others I always loved the scene with Katharine Ross and Paul Newman: what they made of a bicycle and an apple.
