"Nothing Gold Can Stay"

Closing line to a Robert Frost poem

Ringwood, NJ

Nikon D80
Lens 18-135
format Raw
ISO 200, f/5.3

I used a polarizer (filter) to cut some of the sun’s glare.

Post Production: I adjusted the photograph very slightly using contrast in Lightroom, and adjusted for too white (Hot spots) also in Lightroom. There was no cropping.

Stunning I could bask in its glow for a long time, Mary Ann. How did you achieve this marvelous effect? (always trying to learn…..)

  • Mary Ann Reilly replied

This photograph was taken using a Nikon D80 (Lens 18-135, format Raw) very early in the morning on a manual setting (ISO 200, f/5.3). I used a polarizer (filter) to cut some of the sun’s glare.
Post Production: I adjusted the photograph very slightly using contrast in Lightroom, and adjusted for too white (Hot spots) also in Lightroom. There was no cropping.

    Thanks for asking.

I enjoy your work so much… This one conveys so much in such a limited set of tones. Awesome.
