Thanks Cheryl ! It’s the shortest poem I’ve ever written, but I was happy with it.

Mmmm a tentacle eh? Hope it aint one that stings ya? lol

  • reflector replied

Thanks Tina ! It’s based on a hanging tree root that I have in a new two-up design – it reminded me of a tentacle. No stingers, but maybe a few bugs and spiders in it ! :D

    Quite a statement

Thanks very much Jim ! Love is powerful – that’s what this poem is about + the profound things in life.

    Conjures up a nice image

  • reflector replied

Thanks very much Carmel. It’s the image that conjured up the words and they both bounced off each other until it was written.

Captured me and made me want to yell ME TOO PLEASE!

Did it really ? That’s an awesome reaction for such a short poem Rella !

That poem is inspired by women, love and beautiful things in life whatever they truly are. It’s actually my own prayer and worship right now, and maybe forever. Men don’t say things like that do they ? Well we should and I have. I don’t care about tradition and garbage, I care about being open and real ! Only !

  • reflector replied

That’s stronger and takes more courage than most blind and cowardly men will ever be aware of ! They don’t realize their weak, sheepishness, ever !

Just reading your comment to Rella,, really has me reeeling.. the poem rocks but that comment above..Beyound!! lol nice to meet you … I saw you on John Scott’s site.. so I came and viewed.. first love the prose,, my edge.. my way of exploring …then your bio… so true for me.. late to come to life.. art.. but it has been slow cooking for a long time…
Wow this RB is so amazing…

  • reflector replied

Nice to cyber-meet you too linaji ! you sound like you amy have been ob RB for just a short time. Me = 12 weeks here. The most amazing part of RB is interacting with people who love creating art and imagery. We all talk about art initially, but then other subjects gradually come up and I find it just has a revolutionary effect on my perceptions of people, the world and myself.

John Scott’s art is so otherworldly it’s mind-blowing. He’s a really relaxed soul too – great fun, highly intelligent and very perceptive at the same time.

I imagine that the way men are supposed to behave ( steel exterior ) is the same in the USA. I don’t care about those traditions and constraints. I live the way I feel matches my belief system and it gives me freedom.

very powerful expression!! love the art work you chose to accociate it to!!>>very fitting!

  • reflector replied

Thanks very much Jianina ! This is actually a prayer of sorts – a prayer of the soul. You don’t need a church to feel that, or to pray it. I prayed it right in my chair – I’m not kidding !
I actually chose the two images to go side by side. Then I decided to write a poem to put on the tree root / tentacle side – I didn’t want just images by themselves. After I made that imagery I thought this mini poem can stand by itself – it doesn’t need anything else but it’s words.

    >:D

i don’t think it does either!!>>it has so life and is vivid enough to create its own picture!
