The Other Half Of My Soul

I’ve searched high and low for it
Wandered along beaches,
Walked through the forests,
Stood on the highest hills, looking
Explored the city streets and bars
Enjoyed the best of times with friends and family,
I’ve taken up a dozen hobbies always hoping that they will fill that void
That inescapable void that’s somewhere in my heart
Intangible, almost indescribable

Have you seen it anywhere?
Maybe you have been looking after it,
Taking good care of it
Waiting for me to re-claim it…….
The other Half of My Soul,
Your Love

I’ve been keeping something for you, too
Waiting until you find me
So I can give you back the part of you that will make you
feel complete,
My Love
