Who is that bespectacled man with a book in hand ?
You can tell from his luggage that he knows and believes that writing is grand !

Any time of nearly any day that I see him
A good book is his only companion

The bus turning up does not seem to be much of an issue to you
If it didn’t come at all, you would walk quietly home and be content
“Gee that was a great, very interesting read ” you would think to yourself
and that would somehow be enough

You didn’t need the bus to take you to the destination in the mind to which
that book safely transported you

But still I wonder to myself,
” Who is that man ? “
” Where is he going ? “
” What is his story ? “

A man, a book, and a bus stop

Thanks blamo. This came out in 5 to 10 minutes. It’s about a real guy that must live really close to where I work. Most people just can’t wait for the bus to arrive – they hate waiting for anything in our “on-demand” culture. But this gent just reads another book and another, day in and day out, and he’s not sitting there bored out of his mind.

i love to see people reading books(great books at that) there is so much respect that has to be paid to someone who is content with life and concentrated enough to read lines soaking into the depths of a unlimited mind!!!...great tribute!

Thanks J ! Funnily enough, I have not seen this local man at the bus stop for maybe 4 weeks – he may have moved or something !

Public Transport is against my Religion ! ( Well almost, if my car broke down and I had to use it I would ! ). Actually, now I think about it if he didn’t move in 4 weeks he’s quite possibly dead ! Ouch ! That’s bound to hurt ! :D
