Music drifting through unseen realms
Altering all who hear
Moulding the fabric of perception
Shaping the form of men’s hearts
and bringing new awareness
Spiritual, soulful, wild music
Changing our moods and bringing
forth new emotions
Willing prisoners of a power we
cannot fully understand
Swept along by rhythms,
Pushed along by beats
Music is like air to me
Needed daily and held tightly
like a splint,
It brings colour to experience and
cannot be ignored
From nothing but imagination comes
the music that is the idol of our worship
Realms beyond reckoning,
Worlds we cannot know
Music in the air,
like spirit to the breath
Stands as a tall wave and
crashes over all who hear
The Music envelopes all
Musical infusion:
It may sound like I was tripping out on ecstasy when I wrote this poem, but I have never touched the stuff and I never will. I can’t imagine a world without music and I don’t think I want to even try. I enjoy listening to all musical styles from Death Metal, Thrash and Punk through to R&B, Blues, Hip Hop, Reggae, World Music, Instrumental (Narrow tastes here) Techno, Dance, Trance and even some Classical Music ( not very much at all, but it’s incredibly technical and some of the greatest minds the world has ever seen created it by the truck-load )

Thanks, Rella. You can alter your mood and your thoughts by listening to music, so why take something synthetic that’s harmful in both the short and long term?

on something or sober i have tripped out on music in every aspect!!!! i could not do without music!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The same goes for me, but I decided that I didn’t want to drink alcohol anymore three years ago. Drugs – quit even further back than that. Inspiration is my drug of choice now – and it comes from Music, loud and clear – many other areas of life as well !
