I got home and spotted a White Skipper (butterfly?) on a nearby shrub as I was getting out of my car. Then there were two of them, seemingly flying around in a pre-mating ritual. I quickly went inside and got my camera, but when I got outside they had both gone. I searched the shrub and found this little baby (it’s only about 3/4 of an inch wide – so it’s life size, as seen in the photo above) sitting on a flower and quickly reeled off a few shots before I scared it away when I tried to push a branch out of the way for easier “framing”.
