Fakie Ollie To Fakie Manual by

Fakie Ollie To Fakie Manual

A local skater performs a trick combination called a Fakie Ollie To Fakie Manual (that’s what we skaters call a “wheelie” on a skateboard) from the flat ground up onto the Manual Pad at Empire Park in Bar Beach, New South Wales.

This guy finds some very creative “lines” for his tricks at this skate park and has a great variety of tricks, often done at high speed with a great style.

An American band called Jane’s Addiction was really popular with skateboarders in the early 1990’s. Here’s
one of their most popular songs with cool lyrics and a silly/funny video clip -

Jane’s Addiction – Been Caught Stealing

An original digital photograph that was taken with a Canon 450D and a standard Canon 55 – 250 mm lens set at:
F-stop: f/5
Exposure time: 1/2000 sec
ISO speed: ISO-200
Exposure bias: -0.7 step
Focal length: 55 mm
WB: Sunny
Shutter Priority Mode
Hand Held

I enjoy the whole creative process from beginning to end and seek to discover and portray the world in all of it’s rich, intense colours and interesting forms, textures and subjects. I draw inspiration from the harmonious colour schemes often present in the natural environment when creating my Graphic Designs, or composing a Photograph or other work.

cool shot! kids love skate boards ;)

  • LOL! You’re just so cheeky! :-)) Adults love Skateboarding too! I’m about the same age as Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero, Jay Adams, Tony Alva and millions upon millions of other unknown skaters that will remain addicted to this adrenaline sport for the rest of their lives.

Waiting to see James in these shots! :) I will if you will…..

  • Who’s this James guy? ;-) You will, what? You will take up Skateboarding, or you will take a self-portrait and upload it/them to Red Bubble?

As I’ve said before a Lady Photographer photographed me and other skaters doing our tricks there last weekend – they’re going on Facebook. But I’m a Non-Facebook Dude. Red Bubble suits me more! :)

    Just Beautiful

  • Thanks Bobby! Calling a Skateboarding photo a beautiful image sounds so funny to me! We say a skate trick was Radical, Sick, Awesome, Incredible or Amazing.

    great shot!

  • Thanks Cheryl! He’s easy to shoot – he skates really well and he consistently “makes” the tricks he does so that makes it easier to photograph.

I hate Facebook so that means I can’t see you in action. No I will not upload a portrait. I had two on here when I started:)

  • I wish you could “surf around” Facebook without being forced to Join Up as a member before you can see anything there. That’s a Bizarre Policy.

Are those pics “Hidden” in your Gallery? You could create a link to them so I can see them. :))

Thumbs up my friend. Nice action.

  • Thanks a lot Tom! This has become my “Home Ground”, my Home Park to skate at now. And take some photos every few weeks when I feel like it.
