Merewether Baths - Beachcomber Series by

“Merewether Baths – Beachcomber Series”

An original digital photograph taken at the very scenic Merewether Baths on a perfect Winters afternoon in 2012. There were lots of waves breaking over the rock shelf behind the pool so I waited until the larger waves started to break and timed the capture accordingly.

The pool looked stunning in such brilliant, sunny weather. There were also a few Boogie Board riders enjoying some very crisp little waves beside the pool at a surf spot called “Ladies” – a great place to take action shots.

Well with my love of the sea you know I am going to be all over this series. Very cool

  • I’ve taken lots of shots around the beaches in the last month but I also upload a few other subjects to add variety. Thanks for your positive feedback Donna! :-)

    :))

  • It was an excellent afternoon, thanks Maggie! :-) I walked around the pool surrounds, looking for new angles and things I haven’t spotted/captured there before. I was going to put lots of graphics on this one, but decided I didn’t want them covering parts of the scene.

    Beautiful capture!

  • Thanks very much Cheryl! The light was great for using smaller apertures to deepen the contrasts.

it’s a great location, I love it down there. Great shot!

  • I’ve photographed the beach much more often than the pool but this day I wanted to see what other angles and shots were possible that I haven’t thought about before.

Thanks for your feedback! I had a look at most of your recent sunset shots at these baths and they were all excellent!

    Super capture James !!! ☺♥

  • Thanks Evita! It was looking amazing that afternoon. I had the small lens on too, so it made me photograph the place differently to the way I usually would. :)xx
