The Waterfall - Hunter Valley Gardens Series by

A stunning man-made Waterfall as viewed from in front of the the sunken garden section of the Hunter Valley Gardens at Cessnock in New South Wales, Australia. The gardens have more than a dozen different sections that are all designed with a special theme or style. This was the first time I had photographed a Waterfall.

A Garden somewhere – Saturday 8/12/2012

The shot was taken with a Canon 450D and a 55-250mm Canon lens set at f/4, 1/200 second, ISO 200 and 55mm.

I enjoy the whole creative process from beginning to end and seek to discover and portray the world in all of it’s rich, intense colours and interesting forms, textures and subjects. I draw inspiration from the harmonious colour schemes often present in the natural environment when creating my Graphic Designs, or composing a Photograph or other work.

A beautiful place~ wonderful composition and capture James!

  • Thank you! I’m sure it would look even more colourful in Spring and Summer when there are many more types of flowers in bloom.

The Hunter Valley Gardens at Cessnock is a beautiful place…thankyou for sharing.
Pleasing to my eyes to warm my heart.
Peace and happiness to you always,

  • That waterfall would look great as a long-exposure shot with a misty water effect but I couldn’t stay too long in the one spot on that day, so I’ll get that shot another time. Thanks for your support MM! :-))
