Flora T-Shirt by reflector

T-Shirts & Hoodies

Clothing Style:
Available to buy on…

A floral T-Shirt design using a shot taken with a Canon 450D (and a 55 – 250 mm lens) that has been edited to fit inside the font. This is the first time that I have uploaded a design to Red Bubble that features a photo inserted into text.

The orange outline and the dark part of the flower are actually Standard Orange (Dark) on my PC screen but appear more of a Brown colour when displayed on RB.

flora, flowers, rose, nature, orange, white

I enjoy the whole creative process from beginning to end and seek to discover and portray the world in all of it’s rich, intense colours and interesting forms, textures and subjects. I draw inspiration from the harmonious colour schemes often present in the natural environment when creating my Graphic Designs, or composing a Photograph or other work.

Looks great. The orange border looks great, it allows the flower to really show through. XXSUEXX

Gorgeous~ looks awesome on the black!

  • Thanks Cheryl! I’d had this one in mind for a long time but needed to find a thick enough font for it to show as much of the flowers as possible.

Nice one, reflector! look good on white too..

  • Thank you Shallay! The only downside was the fact that although it’s the thickest font I have (so it’s the best to show enough of the flowers), that “o” looks kind of like an “a”.

flara – I like that! Not to worry, so many tees you can’t read ’til up close – keeps the mystery! Would have thought you could control the letter spacing though? – within confines of those pixel size regulations, of course, which may have made it impractical.

  • The letter spacing is fine, it’s just that I added the Stroke at about 35 px because it looked best at that thickness. So now it all seems to run together and bunch up. But I do know about Kerning and Leading etc. It’s a very large font, yet still only a small design for a t-shirt – it’s almost at the edges of the preview space in the enlarged view. So choices/compromises had to happen. :)
