A Malibu rider drops into a solid six or seven foot wave at Newcastle Beach, in New South Wales on one of the very last days of Autumn. There have been big storms up and down the coast of New South Wales over the last few weeks, generating some solid ground swells that make for great surfing conditions.

The original digital photograph was taken using a Canon 450D [ with a 250 mm Canon lens, set at 163 mm ]. Another photo that was my first abstract shot of water droplets [ captured with the same camera ] was added as a texture in Photoshop Elements 7.
