A hang glider sails overhead on a Summer morning in Newcastle, Australia. He came by so quickly I didn’t have time to switch to Shutter Priority Mode and just panned, framed and shot using Program Mode with settings I was using for beach scenes.

An untouched photograph that was captured using a Canon 450D:
F-stop: f/10
Exposure time: 1/800 sec.
ISO speed: ISO-200
Exposure bias: -0.3 step
Focal length: 250mm [ on a 55-250mm lens ]

I enjoy the whole creative process from beginning to end and seek to discover and portray the world in all of it’s rich, intense colours and interesting forms, textures and subjects. I draw inspiration from the harmonious colour schemes often present in the natural environment when creating my Graphic Designs, or composing a Photograph or other work.

lol I looked at the full scale version he’s looking ar you !!!!! :)))

  • He could also be looking at the cars – he’s flying about 30 feet above a road that winds around a beach ! So I’m not sure if he’s really looking at me or not. :))

    great shot!

  • Thanks Tara ! This was only the third time I’d captured these occasionally over two years and it just wasn’t possible to get that kind of focus with a Sony pocket camera.
