A Big, Carving Line
Based on the torrential rain and thunderstorms last night and early this morning it had seemed like it might rain all weekend. Not great weather for surfing, enjoying some sunshine and relaxing at the beach on a long weekend! But when I arrived at the Cowrie Hole late in the afternoon for a photo shoot, the sun was out and the waves had really grown in size compared to what the surf was like on Wednesday – when the waves were only about 2 foot high. There were lots of surfers out at Flat Rock and they were enjoying some smooth, powerful waves before sunset. This knee boarder was drawing big, powerful lines on lots of his waves and this is a great cut back that covers a lot of territory.
