Visions Of Summer

I live in Australia and when I designed this piece the colours of the Australian summer and landscape came out in my use of the palette. I designed it in late 2005 at NSW TAFE, but I changed it today and added a few extra details. Is art ever really finished ? Each time you look at your work you may see something you would like to add, or do in a another way.

Stunning ! Such great imagery of our beautiful, blazing summers. I was an expat, from chilly Britain ..(was, as now a Aussie citizen) and when I first came here, it was the strong colours that wowed me – amongst a thousand other things.

I’ve seen some absolutely beautiful and incredibly interesting and mystical places in Great Britain. Only on the TV, DVD’s etc, not in person. It may rain a lot over there but those Castles, old mining towns, Roman and Celtic ruins and a million other things are simply amazing.

But I live here because I love Australia, like you do now ! Thanks very much for your great, thoughtful comment. ( Your avatar should be bigger so we can see your smile better ! )

Funny you should say that – there are a few photo-montages too that could be made into T-Shirts as well. I have been thinking that way for the last couple of days.

Nobody ever told me that – the perfect info for a marketer. Image resolution is a problem for me, but if I put two images from a small series side by side and then reduce that a bit I should have the resolution issue fully sorted out.

I’ll open the Template and see if it all makes perfect sense. Hopefully I can just use my current image sizes with no extra work needed.

Thanks very much ! I am not Aboriginal, but if I added Black to these colours it would have all the colours that represent their traditional colours.
