This looks like so much fun. The cadets do this here but over land. An excellent picture. The horizon is perfectly straight and the colors are beautiful. xo

  • reflector replied

These guys and the hang gliders were mostly flying over the land. There’s a cliff just at the edge of those bushes and an updraft might be helping them along. Thank you Lori ! :)xx

    Jason Asher

    Cool shot :D

  • reflector replied

A five minute stopover turned into about 45 minutes ! Thanks Jason, it was cool to watch – hang gliders, para’s and remote controlled plains zipping around on the wind.

Nicely done mate, love the framing and angle in this!

  • reflector replied

The framing was hard because they can really accelerate at times ! Thank you Parmi !

  • reflector replied

Thanks Shanina ! I shot there a few weeks ago and it has a lot of possibilities. I just stopped for a quick check and was very pleased with what was happening. Thanks for the fave ! :))

That’s a wee person down on the beach, James. I didn’t see the distance initially. Great colourful action shot.

  • reflector replied

It’s a cliff with a fence that I was sitting on to get above those distracting bushes. Thanks very much ! It was a very nice afternoon and lots of people were enjoying it all.

  • Jan Timmons

    Jan Timmons

Have you done this? I haven’t!

  • reflector replied

No ! I’m not too keen to take the risk, although it was easy to see how much fun they were having. I worked with a girl [ way back ] who shattered her arm Hang Gliding and it looked deformed – so I’m not mad keen on the hobby. :)

Wow – love the shadow he has cast – wonder if the beach goer has any idea what happening above them!! x

  • reflector replied

Thanks TC, I didn’t even look at the shadows – there’s one from a Hang Glider on the left and this guys shadow is that little black line below him. :) There were 3 or 4 of these, maybe 5 hang gliders and a guy with remote controlled planes too !
