At War With The Elements
Nothing man made lasts more than a few thousand years and some structures last far less than that. This was an out house and I’m not sure how long ago it was built. But on a grand time-line it’s rapidly being eaten by nature and returning to the elements, year by year.

The images were all captured using a 6 MP Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S500 and the processing was completed using Photoshop Elements 7.

The elements are winning, James. A great find and a really good job of applying treatments. Nice work. xo

It wasn’t hard to find, it was right beside the Garden at the centre where Sue’s memorial was held.
Thanks for your comment and fave Lori ! [ It had very little of the roof left ] :)x

Thanks for your feedback Bev ! This was taken at the School Masters House at Kooragang last Sunday.

Adorable work James – like how you kept separate colour schemes for foreground & back. If this is PS Elements, the result is magnificent.
reflector replied
Thanks for your nice compliment Shallay ! It was made using Photoshop Elements 7 which has almost, if not all of the tools available in Photoshop. There are a couple of things I couldn’t find, but interfaces get re-designed, so maybe those menu items / tools are still hidden somewhere in PSE 7.
Julie Langford
Very nice editing – love this

Another absolutely stunning image – the treatment is wonderful.
reflector replied
Thank you Catherine ! :)) It’s like another world for me on that island – so many ecosystems all side by side, and a few old buildings / structures that are great to photograph too.

< clearing throat > < again > Sir James! A “Brick Outhouse” ? Wow ….imagine that ! My granny had only a wooden one, and it was a one holer …. this guy must have been loaded.. no pun please!
Seriously I love what you have created with this pic…..the surroundings are amazing…excellent work Sir James !
reflector replied
this guy must have been loaded = too funny ! I was going to run another shot ” As Is ” from a different angle that takes in the great clouds that day, with a lot of greenery in the background. That’s a mangrove swamp in the top right corner of this one.
Thanks for the fun ! :))
