This is awesome, James!!!!! It makes me want to get out there and get some sunflower pics. xo
reflector replied
Thanks Lori ! :) It’s that weed / flower I photographed last year. But this time I pulled it out of the ground and put it in a vase for a staged shot. Thanks for the fave !
Solomon Walker
a beautiful image, great close-up!!
reflector replied
Thanks Solomon ! It’s a very interesting little flower that closes up every day after the shade falls on it and opens the next morning ! :)

Shanina Conway
Gorgeous macro James, such pretty and hardy little flowers;)
reflector replied
Thanks Shanina ! The jury is still out whether it’s a weed or a decent plant, but the flower has very punchy colours. :))
bubbleblue
beautiful
reflector replied
Thank you for the compliment Joy !
Shanina Conway
I didn’t realise Gazania was classified as a weed, suppose it’s because it’s such a hardy little plant and spreads so quickly;)
reflector replied
Laughing here ! I had no idea what it’s called Shanina [ and there is no jury ], thanks for letting me know. :-))
Virginia McGowan
aww poor little Gazania!!! hard to grow, here in the wet.hinterland and they cost a rediculous amount of $$ to buy a plant I keep pinching bits from peoples places and trying to get them to grow ,but they still die here. Okay near the beach [Mermaid]/Burleigh] I had them everywhere, in all sorts of colours… anyhooo gorgeous descripton re fire
reflector replied
This one rarely gets watered but it’s survived for the last year here. I thought it was a weed. Thanks Ginny ! :))
