good one James, wish I had access to these sorts of grotty places.
reflector replied
Laughing here Murray ! Grot is a state of mind ! :)) They were sprinkled throughout suburbia and I like these objects for their photographic texture.
Lori Peters
Yep, this is good one. Bravo! xoxo
reflector replied
Thanks very much Lori ! It started out as a simple idea, but went through a lot of changes / adjustments. Thanks for the fave ! :)xx

Oh you are so good at this – seemless
reflector replied
Thanks for your great comment ! This image developed after starting work on another one that I was about to try with a weatherboard wall. I’ll go back and work on that one some other time.

Great eye James!! Excellent textures and coloring. I love this type of art. Well done. :)
reflector replied
Thank you, very much appreciated ! The people who live next to that stuff would probably be praying for the day when it’s torn down or removed, but I like it and so do other photographers in my city. :-)
Pamela Jayne S...
great imagery James – I love the colours and textures here!
reflector replied
Thanks Pam, I was very happy with the way it turned out ! They’re all piles of junk, but they’re nice junk. :)
Rachel Williams
This is a great image. The contrast and colors are excellent.
reflector replied
Thank you Rachel ! it’s three photo’s and I adjusted the effects / filters in each image to make their tones and hues match as closely as possible.
Solomon Walker
incredible photo Reflector, the tones are stunning!
reflector replied
Thanks Solomon, much appreciated ! I’m a bit of a Sepia / Rusty fan.
Anne-Marie Bok...
Amazing job James! Must have been a lot of work to put them together like you did!
reflector replied
Thanks Anne Marie ! It did involve a fair bit of work, including tweaking the tones after the sepia processing because every photo had different exposures and the colours came out differently.
Shane Viper
Very nice piece Andrew. Well thought out and put together.
reflector replied
Andrew as in Parmi ? :)) Thanks for the compliment Shane !
Shane Viper
Whoops sorry, James.

I was looking at pictures from a guy called Andrew S before yours and got mixed up.

This is so cool! Car parts, old building a bit run down – reminds me of places I remember playing around as a kid when my grandfather’s farm stopped producing and he had long since passed away.. . Beautifully done! xx
emolena

reflector replied
Thanks for your support and making it a fave !
midzing
fantastic find and shot,,, well done
reflector replied
Thank you Midzing ! I drove past that unused service station for a few years before deciding it was photogenic.
Ric Alexander
You know, you totally confused me. I like to look at an image and make my mind up before reading the notes. A big mistake maybe because i could not fathom out the big petrol pump being that big LOL. Nice editing.
reflector replied
It’s a petrol bowser for a Hummer ! :)) I thought the garage doors and boarded-up windows would make a nice canvas for those images. Thanks Ric !
Cee Neuner
Excellent James!!!
reflector replied
Thanks a lot !
Trish Woodford
Wonderful work here James, until you really look you can’t tell its more than one image – so very clever and well presented :)))
reflector replied
Thanks Trish ! It’s supposed to be a Gallery within an image, with the bowser and the car as the images being displayed. :))
Trish Woodford
Fantastic, can totally see it :)
reflector replied
Wow, the internet is so fast ! Thanks ! :-)

this is really quiet strange as my head goes left to right trying to figure out whats going on, very tidy job and an original retro piece.
reflector replied
Thanks for the compliment Jodi ! There are three photos that were all the same size, but I scaled two down and put them onto the Garage Wall to look like posters.
