Thanks Cheryl ! They’re light, earthy colours. Thanks for the Fav as well !
blamo
they even graffittied them …......... why are they still there though …........
reflector replied
It’s either a deceased estate with a technical hassle that’s preventing it’s sale, or someone is ” sitting ” on their investment waiting for years before they cash in. They’re in great condition compared to the garage shed and house next door !
Lizzie Keitel
awesome find!
reflector replied
Thanks a lot Lizzie ! They are seriously weather-beaten relics ! :)
Murray Swift
And probably 40c litre!
reflector replied
There’s a close up of the one on the left in my Gallery called ” Crusty Petrol Pump ” and it says 72 cents per litre. That would mean it closed in the mid 1990’s wouldn’t it ? Thanks for visiting, Murray.
Lori Peters
We have some old gas stations out on the parairie that they still use. It took me a while to learn how to use them again. A great nostalgic picture.
reflector replied
Judging from the price, I think this one closed in the first couple of years of the 1990’s. I’ve driven past this heaps of times, but photography made me pay a visit to see what I could find. Thanks Lori !
bfrida
hard to believe that these were real and used in the past
this yesteryear almost looks like a caricature of the old service station
reflector replied
I used those pumps decades ago, but not at this spot ! There are filters and a few colour tweaks to change the look of the scene. Thanks for looking, bfrida !
Antanas
great shot
reflector replied

i like this one dude !
reflector replied
Thanks MT ! It’s very run down, but it was a good photo playground at this spot. Did you see the sepia close-up called ” Crusty Petrol Pump ” ?
Kabranty
Great capture Reflector.
reflector replied
Thanks Kabranty ! It’s a pile of junk in reality, but it did remind me of lots of things including much cheaper Petrol. Thanks for the Fav !
betha
Great shot, love it!
reflector replied
Thanks betha ! If it fits in front of a camera and I like it, it’s fair game for a shot or two.
stephaniek
Great image! It takes you back in time!!
reflector replied
It really does ! I couldn’t look at these pumps without thinking back to the 1980’s and earlier ! Thanks !
