This is my first hack at a Digital Oil Painting. I admire PhatPuppy’s work and felt that this was a direction that I would like to go. This is my first go so please be gentle. The image is from 2002 when I took an ill fated trip to Italy (Long story). The process involves creating a flat digital mock up, printing it off on a giclee printer then finishing the job off with real oils or inks to create a real world painting. The originals are not for sale (yet) but the prints are.
I hope you like it.
The original reference shot was made on a Canon D60, 28-200mm at 40mm (cropped), f/10, 1/250 sec, ISO 200. CS5
