Hunting around for local trees in Bedfordshire, England while the snow was still thick led to a very icy patch of field. Behind me there were children playing with makeshift sledges, they were hurtling down the slope at speeds that could only be described as madness. I took this shot and packed up my kit ready to watch them have their fun. Three of them shot past me at high speed, had I not moved I would have been carried down the hill with them. We all survived thank god.
Canon 5D, 24-70mm at 70mm, f/8, 1/160 sec, ISO 200. No filters used. A massive amount of dust and hair removed in photoshop.
This shot is also available from a photobook collection called Rural Mementos by redtree.me
