Well I hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend in the UK?
We did, well kind off…..
It was my wife and I’s 1st anniversary. We had a lot to enjoy and celebrate this weekend while we spent time with my wife’s family, which is always lovely. Sadly my wife had developed a case of the flu the first night (Friday) and gradually got worse as the weekend went on. My daughter and I went swimming the next day and she worked out how to swim under water for the first time which was amazing to see the joy and wonder on her face. Shame my wife was too ill to see it.
On Sunday (our anniversary) my wife spent the day in bed feeling sorry for herself. I happened to look out of the window and saw the weather was looking favourable and felt the need to go outside. Dosing them both up with the cold remedies I administered and checked that they were ok with me leaving for a couple of hours to take some photos, to my amazement they wanted to come along.
We headed off to Burnham on Sea (I’ve shot there before) with my iPhone and Rolleiflex 3.5C (film not yet developed). By the time we got there my daughter was fast asleep and my wife’s condition was not favourable. Though she insisted that I go an take some photos on my own.
By the time I’d got down to the beach and was ready to take some shots with my Rolleiflex and iPhone when my phone bleeped, it was my wife texting saying our daughter had just woken up and was not looking great, could I come back quickly and drive them home, ASAP.
Just after tucking them both into bed with more cold remedies and I reviewed the shots I hurriedly took with the phone and to my amazement this is what came out of it. I can;t wait to see if I was lucky with the Rolleiflex.
