Flash gun mayhem in Eaton Bray Bedfordshire, UK. I have never taken pictures of snow with a flash gun before and I wasn’t sure of the effect. This is the result. A fun crimbo card for all.

This is really fantastic. Can you explain a bit how exactly you used the flash gun when taking the shot? I understand its bouncing light off the snowflakes (which is really cool) , but how did you operate the camera at the same time. Keep up the great work.

Cheers for the comment. I whack the speedlite 580exii on the top of the camera turn it on to 1/1 (full power) and set the strobe fill in (manual mode) then take the shot. Took about 15 shots only 3 worked. It was late evening and I lightened up the shot in raw then added some contrast, etc. Hope that is of some use? Best regards redtree.
