Autumn Detail
A morning of frustration and bedlam while building work was going on at home led to a slow, calming walk through Ashridge, Bedfordshire, UK. While revelling in the peace and quiet I stumbled on a dip in the forest which revealed the Autumn colours in a spot I’d never seen before. The leaves on the tree were this lovely rich colour and there was this light coming through the forest and giving the trunk a mottled effect. Everything happens for a reason.

Canon 5D, 70-200mm at 145mm, f/10, 1/25 sec, ISO 200. No filters used. Tripod.
